A Blender add-ons which allows you to import shape and materials from a .FCStd file.

Introduction:

FreeCAD Importer is part of a Suite of extensions allowing to offer you innovative services in Open Source Sofware.

Being free software I encourage you:

To duplicate its source code.
To make changes, corrections, improvements.
To open issue if needed.

In short, to participate in the development of this extension. Because it is together that we can make Free Software smarter.

Install:

Download file FreeCAD-Importer.zip

Install this add-ons in Blender with menu: Edit -> Preferences -> Add-ons -> Install.

Introduction:

I am required to present a realistic photo of my future house for my building permit.
I managed to draw the basic plan of this famous house in FreeCAD. I now need to be able to produce this realistic photo.
After several attempts in FreeCAD I had to resort to using Blender to be able to produce this famous realistic photo.
In order to make this work easier, I decided to make the two softwares FreeCAD and Blender interoperable.
This interoperability is achieved thanks to the FreeCAD Blender Importer workbench and the Blender FreeCAD Importer add-ons.
